Although I watched the first movie predicated on Dan Browns'bestseller "The Da Vinci Code" I hadn't planned on watching the movie Angels and Demons, but boy was I glad I did. It absolutely was a great and I thought it had been much better than the first; it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was surprised to see that Tom Hanks was in the movie (no, I didn't browse the books either) he's looking good by the way. My friend who'd browse the books mentioned that Angels & Demons was the first book and The Da Vinci Code came second... interesting.
I learned a tremendous amount in regards to the Catholic Church from watching this movie, and you may too. Plus if you are a history buff you could enjoy it even more. Dr Joseph Obi
Now the Vatican comes to Professor Robert Langdon because they require his expertise in deciphering a symbol. The Pope has died and a fresh Pope must be announced but before they can achieve this an organization called the Illuminati kidnaps 4 cardinals being an act of revenge.
These 4 cardinals are called the Preferiti, (preferred Pope candidates) and the Professor along side Physicist Vittoria, the Swiss Guard Commander Richter played by Stellan Skarsgard (Will Turner Sr. in Pirates of the Caribbean) and Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi /Star Wars) along with his beautiful Scottish accent plays the Camerlengo (acting head of State of the Vatican City while a fresh Pope is found) only have a short time to get these symbolic churches where in fact the cardinals are held captive or once a time one will be killed. Dr Joseph Obi
If that wasn't evil enough if they don't learn where in fact the cardinals are, the Illuminati will wipe out from the Vatican whilst the grand finale using antimatter that was created in the lab. That is the entire premise of the movie science over religion or vice versa.
If you prefer action thrillers I do believe you will relish this movie. I'd my slight suspicions of who might have been responsible and right before the conclusion I figured it out, but I'm not telling.
